I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue

by rosclarke @ 2006-12-09 - 15:34:40

If that doesn't have you bouncing up and down with excitement already, next week is your chance to discover the funniest programme in the history of the radio, ever. BBC 7 is having a special 'Clue' week to remember the death of one of its finest players, Willie Rushton, 10 years ago.

There will be episodes EVERY DAY! Hooray!! So if you want to finally get to grips with the rules of Mornington Crescent, hear some Historical Headlines, listen to the teams singing One Song to the Tune of Another, or witness competition standard Cheddar Gorge, tune in. On digital radio, TV and the internet. You can listen again whenever it's convenient for you - best not to do this in public areas, since people may think that you are laughing at them.

Don't forget that BBC Radio 4 also have a current series of Clue, airing at 6.30pm (GMT) on Mondays and also available any time online.

Walking Trees

by rosclarke @ 2006-12-09 - 15:21:33

I'm in the middle of listening to the Magician's Nephew on BBC 7 here. I believe they're airing The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and The Horse and His Boy in the next couple of weeks. Maybe the rest after that? Hope so.

Anyhow, I was just struck by the fact that in Narnia, as well as Talking Beasts, there are Walking Trees. Wonder if Lewis had Mark 8:24 in mind? And if so, what significance that had.
